Junichi Ikeda is a partner at Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu where he practices in various areas including product safety and product liability, energy and environment, infrastructure, and dispute resolutions.  He is recognized as one of Japan’s leading lawyers in the field of product safety and liability, and has substantial experience in this area including advising clients in complex, multi-jurisdictional product liability lawsuits and on implementation of multi-national product recalls and other compliance-related campaigns and matters.

Prior to joining Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu, Mr. Ikeda served as a judge of the Tokyo District Court and of the Kushiro District Court, a Staff Attorney (i.e., a judge serving in an administrative capacity) with the Civil Affairs Bureau of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Court of Japan, and a Deputy Director of the Industrial Finance Division, Economic and Industrial Policy Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI).  Mr. Ikeda has also served as a Coordinator of the Legislative Council of the Ministry of Justice.
